Price Match Policy
At Cast & Light, we track pricing across the market to make sure every piece we offer reflects fair, competitive value. If you find an identical item at a lower price from a qualifying retailer, we want to know about it.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for a price match, the following conditions must all be met:
- The item must be the exact same product: same manufacturer, model number, finish, size, and configuration as the item listed on Cast & Light.
- The competitor's listing must be for new, first-quality merchandise currently in stock and available for purchase, not backordered or discontinued.
- The price must be publicly advertised and verifiable through a live link, a dated screenshot, or a printed advertisement. We cannot match prices that are only quoted verbally or shared privately.
- The competitor's price must be in US dollars and must include any mandatory fees, so the comparison is apples to apples.
- The request must be submitted before purchase, or within 7 days of your Cast & Light order date if you are requesting a post-purchase adjustment.
Qualifying Competitors
We will only match pricing from authorized dealers of the same brand. This means the retailer must be listed as an official dealer by the manufacturer of the item in question.
This requirement exists to protect you. Authorized dealers are held to the same quality control, warranty, and authenticity standards we are. It ensures every comparison is between two legitimate, fully warrantied products.
Exclusions
The following are not eligible for a price match:
- Marketplace listings, including Amazon third-party sellers, eBay, Wayfair, Overstock, and similar platforms, where the seller's authorization status cannot be verified.
- Auction sites, closeout retailers, or liquidation sellers.
- Floor models, open-box items, refurbished items, or clearance pricing.
- Prices that include a bundle, gift card, rebate, financing promotion, or a discount tied to a private membership or loyalty program.
- Flash sales, doorbuster promotions, or limited-time offers with a defined end date that has already passed.
- Prices from international retailers or listings priced in a currency other than US dollars.
- Competitor pricing errors, whether typographical or otherwise.
- Trade, designer, or contractor pricing that is not available to the general public.
How to Request a Price Match
- Email pricematch@castandlight.com with the subject line "Price Match Request."
- Include the Cast & Light product name and order number (if applicable).
- Include a link to the competitor's listing, along with a screenshot showing the price, the product details, and the date.
- Our team will review your request within 2 business days and follow up by email with a decision.
- If approved, we will either adjust your order prior to checkout or issue a refund of the difference for orders placed within the last 7 days.
A Note on Value
Because many of our pieces are sourced through curated, limited distribution channels, exact matches are not always available elsewhere. Our team is also happy to discuss what makes a specific price point fair for a given piece, including sourcing, authentication, and the white-glove delivery service that accompanies larger items.
